A seminar titled "Chaos and Cryptology: From Uncertainty to Security" was held on May 14, 2025, at 3:00 PM with the participation of our faculty's teaching staff and students, presented by Dr. Erman ÖZPOLAT, a faculty member of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department.
In the seminar; topics such as the scientific foundations, types, properties and synchronization of chaotic systems based on the philosophy of chaos were discussed. Then, the concept of cryptology, its importance in daily life and its relationship with chaos systems were explained in detail. In the presentation where cryptography applications in chaotic systems were discussed, comprehensive information was shared, especially through examples on image encryption and decryption.
Dr. ÖZPOLAT continued his presentation and deepened the subject with examples from his own academic studies. In the Q&A session held at the end of the event, participants had the opportunity to directly ask the topics they were curious about. The interactive and productive seminar was followed with interest by the participants and completed successfully.
